This is lossless from an FM broadcast. Not crappy 128kbps MP3.

flac is lossless, MP3 is lossy.
The Flac files are really for those who a) want the best sound quality and / or b) wish to be able to encode the file how they choose (e.g MP V0, 128, AAC, or some future superduper format that has yet to appear).
look spectrum in adobe audition. this upconvert MP3 -> flac
radio recording can not be FLAC

If it was 128 the conversion process would not make it so high because there would not be enough data within the recording to make it so.

Mate - you don't know what you're talking about. Go away and do some research. An FM broadcast is typically over 226kbps on an above-average signal. A good signal (which mine is) is substantially higher. It will be better than a DAB or SAT recording which is a maximum of 192kbps.
If your entire accusation against me is the fact that the cut off point in the spectral analysis is around the 15-16khz mark, this is correct as FM, MP2 and AAC all come from the same linear source so to someone who only knows a little about what they are talking it would appear to be 'no better' than 128kbps MP3.

Either way, I'm fed up of defending myself and I'm done uploading on this site if this is the sort of shit I'm going to take for doing it. So stop accusing me of up-encoding MP3s until you have your facts straight. I've been doing this for years. I know what I'm doing. If you don't like, don't download my uploads and go and make your own recordings instead.
i checked and i must say here - FLAC versions sound way better. whoever doubts anything should get at least a 20-40Watt speaker system with a separate woofer..
